Musings

I'm a real simple person. It doesn't take a lot to make me happy. I enjoy life's simple pleasures. I'm family-oriented. I like spending time with my family, be it at home or out, I love being around the people who really matter to me.. I've always LOVED traveling, be it long road trips or impossibly long air flights. I've been to quite a few countries, the US (both Mainland and Hawaii), Mexico, Venezuela, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, and just recently Australia. Next on my "to-go list" is Greece, New Zealand, India, China, Egypt, and France. I am deeply enamored by diverse cultures, in fact both my son and I can be considered children of the third culture (look it up if you don't know what that is), I like exotic food, world art, and world history. I love Asia Pacific the best though, not because I'm from there mind you, but because Asian culture is more diverse and exotic in nature than that of the Western world. I will admit though that I do enjoy all the perks and benefits of the Western world's advanced technology and way of life. Hmm what else, I LOVE anything that has to do with food (don't we all), trying new restaurants, sampling new dishes and attempting to do them at home. It really relaxes me. (Asian food is the absoulute best in my opinion.) SHOPPING IS THERAPY (well, I'm a girl - duh). I can spend quite a number of hours looking at girly stuff. I think that DFS Airport shops are the absolute best! You can pretty much find everything there without the tax (hehe). I can be a big shopper, especially if it's something I really like. Generally though, I consider myself to be a cheapskate. Well, there' so much more that I can write... Simply put, I'm pretty simple, laid back and easygoing. I have a wealth of experience that I can share with my friends and that's how I learn as well - from the experiences of others. I of course, just want to live a better life, and give my son the royal life that he deserves...

Merry Christmas!

Merry merry Christmas to everyone! I know it's only the eve.. and it's the morning of the eve too actually. But I just wanted to get this greeting out as early as now because (as most Pinoy households are on the 24th of December) I will be uber busy later with cooking and family milling about.

So merry merry christmas to everyone! I super love Christmas! Oh, this picture of me and Gavin is what I posted on our Christmas tags this year. I just wanted to post it for "remembrance" purposes.

I'll post some pics of our Noche Buena (if I can get them).

I'm FINALLY on Vacation

I had refrained myself from taking a vacation earlier and mid of this year because (again) I was just too busy. It wasn't as bad as last year though where I hardly also ever took a leave from the office. This year I allowed myself some leaves. Well mainly because they were sick leaves and I really didn't happen to have any choice whatsoever.

Well this year, I decided to take a much needed vacaction during the last week of this year. Most of it will I think be spent either cleaning out my room, fixing up on some of the things here at home, and doing some errands that I've been putting off doing for this year.

Being on vacation is great! And what better time to spend it than on Christmas! Which by the way is my all time favorite season of the year!

I gotta finish my shopping though...

Guilty as Charged

I feel totally weird about the day I had today.

I have mixed feelings about today. Earlier on, I felt something that I thought I'd never feel. And I hated it. I hate feeling guilty, I absolutely hate it.

It's just weird.

Pre-Christmas Cheer

Christmas is coming up and I so cannot wait!

I have a lot of things to look forward to and I just cannot wait! I have so much to do though...

First of all, I asked to take a LOOONG leave. Well, fine 6 days.. For some people that may seem like a joke, but for me that's considered a pretty long time to be away from work.

I want to rest, sleep late, spend some time at home, spend time with my son and my parents, go out of town, go out of the country, do some shopping, do some reading... my list of christmas to do's is endless.

I haven't kept this blog up to date for a variety of reasons. The most common (or famous) is that I've been busy. Other than that, I just haven't had it in me to write. I guess you can say that a lot has been going on but everytime I open thye blogger dashboard, I just stop, stare and log back out again.

Well, I will make a conscious effort to keep on writing as much as I can.
